View From The Press: It’s The End of the Kahn Land Rover Defender

The demise of the Land Rover Defender in February 2016 was a sad day for the landed British gentry, the armed forces, and the Red Cross. A vehicle that had once been their backbone had finally gone to the great garage in the sky, says Top Gear's Ollie Kew.

Kahn Automobiles’ eulogy to the Defender is this fittingly titled ‘The End Edition’. Or, to give it the full moniker, the ‘Kahn Automobiles Land Rover Defender 2.2TDCi XS 90 The End Edition’. Maximum Scrabble points, there.

Limited to 50 examples – for which you’ll pay an appropriately round £50,000 – the er, ‘End’ is based around Kahn’s widebody conversion, squeezing 20-inch, 275-section tyres under the arches.
